Lansdowne Resort

This past weekend the fam took a weekend away from home and went to Lansdowne resort. I found the resort while searching online for a relaxing retreat from the crowded east coast. The 5 star resort was amazing. We purchased a "romance package", don't worry nothing happened, which included the room, dinner for two at "On The Potomac", a breakfast buffet, and access to each of their 4 pools. Let me just say that when you are rich, or at least people think you are rich they treat you very very nicely. Unfortunately, they did not know that i searched the Internet to find cheap tickets for about half of the cost.
We started off the day with shopping in Leesburg at the outlets. After, checking in to our place we a couple of hours to lay out by the pool, swim, and go down the water slide 16 times. I wonder if it was weird that i was the only grown man going down the slide. Proud to say Addison had her first experience of pool water, and it about as well as 10 year old Brian on the 7 hollows trail.
That evening we headed down to the restaurant and had some amazing food. I would try to explain what i ate but, I'm sure i would not do it justice. I will say it was very fun being waited by 3 servers. It was also funny when me and Crissy were waiting to order. We could see the server starring at us but he would not come over. It finally occurred to us he would not come over until we closed our menus. The second they were closed he was by our side. After a filling dinner, we took our desserts plastes and all, with us upstairs to eat, with some sparkling apple cider that the hotel had delivered to our room. The next morning we ate at breakfast buffet which was as you might imagine amazing. With three chefs dedicated to making nothing but omelettes, pancakes, and waffles of any style you want, a complete buffet table full of nothing but fruit, and another buffet full of every breakfast item you can think we filled ourselves to the top. My total stats by the end of the morning: 10 glasses fresh squeezed OJ, 3 omelettes, 2 bowls of fruit, french toast, and 2 pancakes.
This is the 1 of the 4 pools
